Dr Davaasuren Sodnomdarjaa, Chairman of FRC attented the Eurasia FinTech Forum on 21 March 2018 in London, UK. The forum was held within the scope of the UK FinTech Working Group and took place as part of UK FinTech Week 2018 from 19-23 March, supported by the UK Government. The Eurasia FinTech Forum brought together senior International Financial Centre and FinTech policy makers from the Eurasia region and served as a platform to discuss FinTech environment opportunities and requirements with respect to participating countries.

During the forum, Dr Davaasuren Sodnomdarjaa discussed Mongolia’s current FinTech development, its legal and regulatory framework, and the technological innovations being introduced in Mongolia and exchanged views on policies and regulations that support FinTech development with policy-makers from Eurasia’s regulatory authorities, central banks, and research institutions. Meanwhile she also encouraged international investors and businesses to invest in the Mongolia while stressing the importance of closer cooperation between the public and private sector.

Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Global Head of Primary Markets and CEO of Turquoise Global Holdings, London Stock Exchange Group, as well as participants from Astana International Finance Center, Moscow International Financial Center Taskforce, National Bank of Georgia, and National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic have attended the event, during which they discussed FinTech’s development and trends in the Eurasia region, its impact on market as well as its regulation framework.
