Dr. Davaasuren, Chairman of the FRC has attended the High-Level Forum on Financial Inclusion of Forcibly Displaced Persons (FDPs), which was hosted by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) together with the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) in Berlin, Germany on 26 April 2017.

The importance and urgency of including FDPs in the formal financial system are acknowledged by governments and international organizations alike. The topic is one of four key priorities of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI) under Germany’s G20 Presidency in 2017. The main objective of the High-Level Forum was to convene a wide set of relevant countries and stakeholders in a global dialogue on the issues around the financial inclusion of FDPs.

Dr. Davaasuren has reflected on Mongolia’s current situation on financial inclusion and noted the challenges facing Mongolia in promoting financial inclusion emphasizing on the impact of limited access to financial services of citizens, whose migration movement to capital city keeps on the rise.
